Dracula

I wrote this Modern-Jazz piece after reading the surprisingly deep and spooky ‘Dracula’ by Bram Stoker. It definitely borrows some ideas from Joe Henderson’s piece, ‘Afro-Centric.’ I also learned about the passing of Chick Corea while composing and I think some of the flair is inspired by the mystery and romantic elements in his music.

It is written out as a through-composed piano score, but it could just as easily be a hard-hitting fusion rock or jazz tune just using the chord symbols.
